ハンス・ツィッシュラーは、1947年にニュルンベルクに石材業者の息子として生まれ、ミュンヘン大学とベルリン自由大学で哲学、民族学、音楽学およびドイツ文学を学ぶ。編集者、翻訳家をしたのち、1968年にベルリンのシャウビューネ劇団に入り、2009年のベルリン国際映画祭では出演映画『ヒルデ』が初上映された。

The actor, speaker and author Hanns Zischler has for years enjoyed prowling around outdoors with a Rigby pinhole camera in tow. The use of this historical technique, which requires long exposure times, allows him to lend unique expression to the constant motion found in nature. Since the middle of the film plane, lying directly opposite the aperture, cap tures more light particles than the borders, in the final image pulsating rays of light emanating from the bright, solar center grow darker as they disperse toward the edges.
